SOC Level 1 Team leader

About the Position

This position requires leading and managing a team of 10-20 cyber security analysts (tier 1-2)

What You Will be Doing

  • Take active part in recruiting new employees, including interviewing and assessing candidates, developing and tracking professional handover plans for team members
  • Assist in training team members in the use of security tools, preparation of security reports and resolution of security issues
  • Effectively lead and influence the team performance
  • Develop creative retention plans for the team members
  • Lead communication with stakeholders, including senior management team and customers on both technical and executive level
  • Responsible for allocating resources to assignments and shifts
  • Responsible for event monitoring, initial incidents response and to escalations to level 2 or customers as required
  • Responsible for the SLAs adherence, and for achieving targets and objectives defined by the Global SOC manager
  • Raise recommendations and remediation as well as resolving security incidents
  • Collate security incidents and events data to produce periodically exceptions, management reports and presentations, dashboards and metrics for SOC operation
  • Develop and maintain documentation for security systems and procedures

Skills

  • Advanced monitoring of system logs, SIEM tools and network traffic for unusual or suspicious activity via CDC platform for multiple customers
  • Recommend, schedule and/or apply fixes, security patches and any other measures
